Juan Gil has become one of the best producers of Monastrell grapes. Of their wines, the silver label has great finesse because of the time dedicated for the grape to mature well. The wine appears as a deep purple and has explosive aromas of ripe currant, red berries and smoked notes. Rich, powerful and voluminous on the attack, a huge mouthful of crème-de-cassis concentration creates a silky, juicy experience on the mid-palate with excellent length and persistence. There is a long spicy well-balanced finish including toasted notes provided from aging in French barrels. Pairs well with dishes featuring rice with meat, stewed meat, stewed vegetable, mushroom, poultry, sauces fish, smoked seafood, blue and cured cheese, red meat, roast and baked meat.
