Juan Gil is the leading producer of Monastrell. Of the multiple wines they produce, the blue label has incredible bold flavours from a blend of Monastrell, Cabernet-Sauvignon & Syrah. Appearing as a deep dense purple, it offers a nose of graphite, earth notes, spice, black fruits, and a hint of balsamic. It opens in the glass to reveal excellent density, savoury flavours, and a lengthy finish. Add it to your cellar for a few years and it will drink smoothly. Pairs well with dishes featuring rice, pasta (noodles, spaghetti, macaroni), vegetables, mushroom, stewed meat, sausage, pork, roast meat, red and/or white meat with sauces, grilled meat, soft or medium-cured cheeses.
