Atteca is produced just outside of the region of Calatayud where Grenache grapes are grown for this wine. With some time in French barrels, this wine presents as a brilliant cherry colour. On the nose there are intense aromas of red fruits such as raspberries, along with notes of cocoa, vanilla, aging from the barrel and liquorice. There are aromas of fruit and spices which carry on throughout the tasting. The palate is fresh and sweet, with an intense fruity flavour. Pairs well with stews, sheep cheese, pasta with meat sauce, risottos, roasted red meats, mushrooms, and charcuterie.
