This whisky has a big, meaty nose. It has aromas of stewed apples and pears with a freshly-baked sponge cake of golden barley and a pinch of salt. There are lots of honey flavours on the palate, joined by deft spicy notes of cinnamon and cracked black pepper. It also has glimmers of fruit and dark chocolate. The finish is smooth with juicy fruit flavours and a hint of oak.
